[Publib] Interfiling reference

Hi All!
Our library has recently come across the idea of interfiling our
reference collection with our nonfiction circulating collection. (We
got the idea from you folks in Baltimore County, I believe). We are
thinking of doing this primarily for space reasons - but are also
wondering about the benefits it may provide the patrons.
I am curious- for those of you who have tried this: how long have you
had your collections interfiled? What are the pros and cons? Feel free
