We always keep a bottle of hand sanitizer at the front desk. We also
wipe the keyboards down with an antiseptic wipe every so often, but
especially if we know someone's been hacking on it.

Not long ago, I went to the doctor with a really bad sore throat I
thought might be strep. The nurse asked me if I'd been around anyone
strep, and I told her not that I knew of, but I worked in a public
library. She made a rather wry expression of sympathy. When my doctor
came in she had the same question, but cut herself off before she
finished asking, saying, "Never mind, you work in a public library.
You probably see as many sick people as we do." *g*
