Yes. As long we spend money for computers and software and printers
and as long as we encourage people to use the library for those
purposes, we are their office. We have a fax machine here at Grapevine
Public that is used by the public at a lower cost than they can pay at
the kinko's down the street.
Its part of the job.

I think that providing the tax forms could be considered to be "meeting
the information needs" of the community.
What I don't get is why patrons/users/customers/clients/and or
borrowers expect us to have a fax machine available for their use.
When we had a public typewriter (which we actually still have) we were
the people's university. Are we now the people's office?
