Your neighbors to the south (Rockford Public Library) do not put these
stickers on items. However, it's written into our policy, instead.

Subject: [Publib] "Damage" labels on DVD or CD cases
Are there any libraries out in PUBLIB land that put a label on DVD or CD
cases to the effect of: "Please report to the library staff if you have
any problems viewing (or listening to) this item. The library is not
responsible for equipment damage". We currently put this on our DVDs and
CDs but the labels are 1" X 3" in size and they tend to cover up
information about the DVD or CD itself. Some of us on staff want to
eliminate the label completely and some want to keep it for the
customers' sake. Some staff think a posted notice in the DVD or CD area
is sufficient. Just wondering what other libraries are doing.
Thanks in advance,
