[Publib] Amnesty Week

We have been doing an Amnesty Week during National Library Week for many years. Approximately 2 weeks before, we send letters out to all of the overdue patrons from the past year that still have items out to let them know they can return them during NLW at no cost. We do not forgive fines for items already returned. 
 
We also do an Amnesty Week during Children's Book Week in November just on children's items being returned. 
 
Both are a great hit and we publish an article about the value of the items returned and the fines forgiven. Is usually several hundred dollars in both.
