[Publib] Library to rescuers: We don't help

This reminds me of the old tradition of silence among bartenders.  No  
barkeep on earth will ever tell a woman on the phone that her husband is there,  no 
matter what.  They take a number and say, "If he comes by, I'll give him  the 
message."  For that matter, bartenders are known to be completely blind  and 
deaf in courts of law, especially as regards divorce proceedings.  A  guy could 
come in there with a different woman every night, but the gaffer would  tell 
an attorney nothing.  The tavern is as safe a sanctuary as the  medieval 
church.  Is there an equivalent for women?  Perhaps the hair  salon?  
 
For that matter, a gentleman always knows that once the bottle is opened,  
that nothing said or done after that goes beyond the edge of the table.
