[Publib] reference desk time

I'm usually on the desk for a two-hour shift. If another librarian (usually a part-time person) is there, and we aren't busy, I'll go to my office and tell my colleague to call me if there are any problems.
There are enough librarians and paraprofessoinal library assistants to minimize the time we're on the desk.
