Obviously the question should have been "Most libraries use Dewey numbers
for fiction."

I must also quote Miss L. Rich, a fearsome and brilliant woman who was my
high school English teacher. She taught English was a catechism.

What is literature? was one of the questions.
"The written record of the thoughts, ideas, and ideals of humanity" was her
answer.

Regards,

Dale (who's worked in a library that classified fiction in Dewey who who
does just that in LibraryThing...and candidate for ALA Council)
