[Publib] RE: DVD limits

Up until last May, we had no limits on DVDs or CDs.  We charged $1 for
DVDs and Videos, so we told patrons the limits on those items was
whatever their wallets wanted! :)  However, at about the same time that
we discontinued the $1 charge on DVDs and Videos, we went to a double
shelving system for DVDs - empty cases on the shelves, discs in file
cabinets at the desk.  It takes so much time to retrieve the DVDs now,
that we went to a limit of 5 per person.  For cds, we did the same
thing, and the limit is 10 per person.  There is no limit on videos,
cd-roms or audiobooks, at least in Adult Services at our Main Library.
I think our branches have limits on some of these other items just due
to collection size.  Hope this helps!
