We are looking for information about violence in libraries, including
aggressive acts and inappropriate behavior. Specifically we would like
to know how information about this type of behavior is communicated or
shared within the library system and if it is shared across other
jurisdictions or regions (when appropriate)

 

For example, an incident that occurs at one library might be considered
to be an isolated incident and so not shared with other libraries, but
in some instances the perpetrator is targeting several libraries without
all libraries in the system/jurisdiction/region aware that this is more
than one isolated incident.   Has this been a problem in your area and
do you have a system for notifying other libraries within your system or
region?  How do you communicate this type of problem?
