Dear Colleagues:
I know this is a question better asked someplace else but as Toby on the West Wing said, "You're my guys". I lurk most of the time but need your help today.
Can anyone with any opinions out there please share them on the following topic:
What do you see in your libraries that makes for a popular picture book?
What makes some wildly successful and others so short-lived?
Why do you think publishers are looking for in picture books today?
I'm speaking to a writers' group from Bank Street College on this topic and I'd like to share your collective wisdom.
Many thanks.
