[Publib] Yahoo Odd News: Librarians trash D.C. nightspot

Several people have indicated that this was a joke.  But in a world
where:
 
    --a judge sues a cleaners for $65 million over a lost pair of pants
    --the Vice President shoots a man who then apologizes for getting
shot
    --politicians with multiple marriages are touted as more supportive
of family values than the never-divorced.
    --someone using the phrase 'hippie culture' in 2007 isn't laughed
out of town
 
Who can tell what's a joke and what's not?  
 
The world is just getting too weird for me.
