[Publib] Closed Captioning on DVDs

Hi y'all.  I'm in the midst of fielding a patron complaint (via email) about the lack of closed captioning on many of our DVDs.  We buy the bulk of our adult collection from Midwest, and while most of the big feature films are closed captioned, the features from smaller studios and most of the nonfiction films are not.  As far as I know, this is not a decision made by the distributor but by the studios when they release the DVD.  But perhaps there is someone out there somewhere re-releasing DVDs with closed captioning?  Does anyone know?
