[Publib] As long as we are totally off topic and on to songs
running through our brains...

I would like to contribute 2 things to this discussion (one of them actually library related!). I have on my desk a page from this year's desktop Far Side calendar that shows a man screaming in a sound proof room while the devil sits outside with a stack of record albums (some of you might remember those!) labeled "New Age Music". The caption is "Charlie Parker's private hell." Something to think about when you decide to inflict your musical tastes on others.
The other thing that I would recommend is for you to take a trip into your children's room and find the book "Frankenstein Makes a Sandwich" by Adam Rex. This is a very funny poetry book with some hysterically funny poems about the Phantom of the Opera getting a song stuck in his head. If you don't own this book, buy it for your collection. And read it when it comes in. It will make a bad day much better.
