[Publib] Director for School-Public Library Combination sought

Stillman Valley High School and The Julia Hull Public Library is seeking an eager, creative leader to fill our position of Library Director. This unique joint library is one of only a handful of the libraries in the entire state of Illinois to have formed an intergovernmental agreement between the school district and the public library district.  Experience and confidence in managing the library's annual budget in cooperation with the library board is essential. The Library Director is responsible for development of the library's growing collections. They are also responsible for monitoring expenditures, hiring, training, scheduling and evaluating staff and developing and implementing programs for all ages, in addition to all required public and school services.  As the primary spokesperson for our joint library, outstanding communication skills are fundamentally important.  Our library is located in rural Northwestern Illinois just 20-minutes southwest of Rockford.
* Candidates for this position must have an MLS from an ALA-accredited school and a certified secondary teaching certificate.  Competitive salary and excellent benefits package.
