Disadvantages? none, that I can see/think of. Make sure you're clear on
how/if you can show public faces, is all.
Advantages? not enormous, but Flickr is so easy, convenient, why ever not?
We use it create a sense of the scope and possibilities of this place,
show the taxpayer how their money is being spent ..and link back from many
of the pictures into the library web.  Track back indicates that not many
people actually look at the album ..and our friends invites have all been
other libraries..
    But it's still worth doing.
