I give you an example of cataloging/classification , Look for the book ONLY YOU, DICK DARING! by Merle Miller in several catalogs.  Somehow it's been classified as fiction.  

If one reads the book (gasp!), it's obviously not a novel.  Miller names names - Jackie Cooper and some executives at CBS.
