Greetings,

I think Jim is right, but it goes beyond health insurance. I have
friends and relatives who paid $7-$10K per year for prescription
medicine. They essentially work to live past normal retirement.

It is not a "scientific sample" in any respect, but does illustrate to
some degree how the "baby boom" generation has not only presented a
challenge to subsequent generations in terms of filling and holding many
jobs, but has had to deal with those numbers itself --- far more
candidates than jobs available --- from about 1970 onward. Predictions
that the trend would be reversed during the 2000s as baby boomers
retired at about the same time have not yet been proven correct. Why?
I know of a lot of us boomers who are hanging on due to the need for
health insurance. (See Michael Moore's "Sicko")
