[Publib] Pop or Soda...

In the part of Southern California where I grew up I always drank soda.
These days I prefer pop. When I lived in Alabama everyone drank Coke.
This was very confusing to me. Here's an exact conversation I had with
a waiter while placing my order:
Waiter: "Would you like a Coke with that?"
Me: "Sure."
Waiter: "What kind?"
Me: "Uh...Classic? Non-diet?"
Waiter: "Is Pepsi okay?"
At this point I flipped the table and tossed the waiter out the window.
