Subject: [Publib] regionalisms

Here at the very end of lawn guy land, we refer to back west, up west, and
up island for any location west of Riverhead (about 25 miles form here).
Since I am a transplant from Brooklyn, and have only lived here for 18
years, I am what is known as "year-round." My partner, who came here when
he was four is "local." I'll be "local" in a few more years, maybe. I used
to be "from away," but I seem to have outlived that designation.

...and that's MY opinion.
