[Publib] "You Guys"

Greetings Lynne,

There appears to be a statistical correlation between people declaring
themselves

'feminists' and people declaring themselves 'bow-tie' wearers on this list.
Is this

merely a causal relationship? Do feminists create bow-tiests? Do
bow-tiests

create feminists? Does wearing a bow-tie appease and please the dominant

scarf wearers? What about facial plumage? Does facial plumage trump a

nappy scarf? What about facial plumage AND a nappy scarf?

And, how does this all relate to the mating rituals first documented in
March of <http://youtube.com/watch?v=Td922l0NoDQ>

the Librarians <http://youtube.com/watch?v=Td922l0NoDQ> ?

And why would that be???? Just wondering about the connection between
feminists and men in bow ties. Elucidate please.

Greetings,

Could the influence of the feminism in libraries lead to an environment
where a disproportionate number of

male librarians to wear bow-ties?

I'm with you, Linda. I am a feminist and a liberal and proud of both. I'd
rather be included in a bunch of (gender-neutral) guys than identified with
"the ladies". My mom, part of the greatest generation, was a lady, my aunt
was a broad (in the best sense of the word) I'm not sure about my sister,
and I missed being a boomer by about a year. On the other hand, why can't
we just be women and men and forget about all the slang identifiers?
