[Publib] ALA Conference Dress

This really is a weird conversation.  I could never figure out what right I had to tell someone else how to dress and always considered it impolite to talk about the dress and weight of others.

Yes, I know there was some point being made in relation to the NYTimes article but this conversation went way beyond that some time ago.

If you really want to see whether or not you think we librarians attending the ALA Conference were the dregs of humanity without having attended the conference then why don't you look through the pictures in Cognotes?  http://www.ala.org/ala/eventsandconferencesb/annual/2007a/cognotes.htm

Ok, now that you have looked at the pictures do you have the same viewpoint?  I personally think that, for the most part, we a pretty typical looking group of people at a conference.  I have to look at the pictures because I was more involved with content while there then attire.
