Hi--

I am the past-Director of the Cranbury Public Library, a joint school/public library located in Central New Jersey.? We had one entrance for the public which was used whenever the Library was open.? The entrance from the school hallway was locked; so that patrons could not enter from the combined Library into the school facility.? But was open from the school side to the Library only.

The rationale was that the school was monitoring who entered their facility on an ongoing basis--so students and teachers had easy access to the Library.? But Library customers could not get into the school unless we unlocked the door.? It actually worked quite well with no problems.
