[Publib] Library Buildings

I have friends in Florida who have stained concrete floors in their house.
Its attractive, cool under foot, and reasonably low maintenance. However,
when the electric power goes off in the summer with those Florida storms and
hurricanes, all that cool concrete condenses moisture from the air as the
house's temperature rises. This could be a real slipping hazard.

Has any library installed stained concrete in their facilities rather than
carpet? If yes, how is it working in terms of noise levels, etc?
