There is a great study of some libraries in southern Ohio that does a
great job of demonstrating economic value.

Subject: [Publib] "Libraries are essential to economic development"
...anarticle of faith?
Does anyone have a citation for an economic development
study(s) that states a library is an essential service? This is the
second time I have read an editorial recently stating this. While I
hold this to be true, some may believe it to be an "article of faith",
and it would be good to have on file such sources to quote when needed.
