Subject: [Publib] Re: Everyday Reference Questions

Some of our most common reference questions:

How do I fill out this tax form?
Where are the kids' books?
Where are the magazines?
How do I place holds on stuff from home? (or on the internet?)
Where is your PDR? (Sometimes they ask for the PDA, but I know what
they want)
Is there a table where I can study?
Where is your FAFSA information?
How can I renew my books? (videos...dvds...)
Request for specific books by title or author (DeMille's new book with
"fire" in the title)
Requests to place holds on specific books, generally best sellers
Where are your exercise videos?
Where do I check out?
Where do I sign up for story time?
Where is your card catalog? (They don't want the Computer Catalog...they
want the CARD Catalog)
Telephone numbers from all over
How do I get an email address?
Can I have more computer time?
How do I make this thing work? (referring to the computer, either the
Internet or Word Processing)

How do I make this thing work? (Referring to the Microfilm printer)
Where are your "Battle of the Books" books
Do you have a list of the schools "Reading Counts" books?

We don't get the bathroom request all that often. Possibly because you
ahve to walk by the bathrooms on the way to the Reference desk.
