[Publib] Overdue notices

We are thinking of changing how our notices are done.  Although we do offer 
and encourage email notification, there are many customers who opt to 
receive notification through the regular mail.  Currently, the notices are 
printed on multi-part forms that produce the sealed envelope and a 
coversheet.  Hundreds a day are printed out, which must be separated by hand 
and visually scanned for errors.  Customers with more than 3-4 items receive 
multiple notices.  We are considering outsourcing to a firm that will 
produce the notices for us, but I was hoping to find out what other 
libraries do.  Thanks!
