Measure the Success of Your Library’s Programs

Are your library’s programs making a difference? How do you measure the contributions your library is making in the community? If you and your library’s stakeholders are asking these questions, the PLA Spring Symposium workshop "Demonstrating Results: Using Outcome Measurement in Your Library" will help you find answers. Based on the popular ALA Results series book, participants will learn how to determine outcome measures for a library program, develop a data collection plan, and analyze results.

In addition to "Demonstrating Results: Using Outcome Measurement in Your Library," the 2007 PLA Spring Symposium features five other one-and-a-half-day workshops focused on the issues that matter most to public library staff. Each workshop will immerse participants in their topic of choice, demystify trends and tools, and spotlight practical information to help you implement change in your library. The Symposium will be held in San Jose, California at the Fairmont San Jose, March 1-3, 2007. Registrations will be accepted by fax, mail, or online through January 26, 2007. Space is limited. Visit www.pla.org for full workshop descriptions and to register or call 800.545.2433 ext. 5.
