Yes, and many thanks for posting the statement from the source in Fairfax 
County, Dale. I hope the director (or someone close) also responds to the 
WSJ. Any takers? Unfortunately, my guess is that the misrepresented example 
of FCPL will continue to be used in policy debates, as will  the spector 
raised by Miller of wasteful public subsidy to middle class readiers 
perfectly capable of buying their own books. In reply, I like the idea of 
the library as the commons: a broad resource of culture and information for 
all.
