[Publib] ALA hotel

I got on the phone at precisely 9:00 AM CST.  After four tries got into
the queue and waited another 20 minutes.  All the while they tried to
get me to use FAX.  Sorry, I was stupid enough to do that once before.
Then I faxed at 9 and found out 4 or 5 days later that all rooms were
booked .  Was able to book a room this time, I think!?  Have not gotten
the confirmation promised yet.
 
Good Luck.  This is one system you really have to know how to work.

	ALA hotel reservations opened yesterday.  I went to make a
reservation today.  Only one hotel on the list is still open for
reservations.  All of the others are crossed out, or wait listed.  On
day 2.  At least for us commoners.
	 
	This happens to me almost every year.  Does this make sense?
Yes, I know, some ALA big wig will tell me more rooms will be available
later on.  Which doesn't help me now.
	 
	OK, I feel better.  But still crabby.
