Librarian * Full-time position with benefits available in the Reference Department of the Williamson County Public Library. MLS from ALA accredited school. Minimum 3 years public library experience. Computer experience required. Please see the full job description ( http://72.237.174.9/Jobs/Generic_Librarian12-5-02.pdf ). Schedule is for 40 hours per week with nights and weekends required.  A signed County application is required prior to an interview.   
 
The Reference Department is staffed with 4 full-time librarians and 3 part-time library assistants.  The Reference staff handle the computer lab, teach computer classes, provide the majority of public access to the internet and computers, are responsible for collection development in the non-fiction, Spanish and reference collections, support the YA department, provide patron assistance in all the areas mentioned, participate on committees, work on the staff intranet, distribute tax forms from January 2 to April 14 (!)  and work on other projects as needed. 
 
The library is open 7 days a week for 65 hours.  Full-time staff currently work one evening a week and a full weekend followed by a Saturday shift the next weekend with the following Sunday and next full weekend off.
