[Publib] Adult Summer Reading Program

In my previous job, I did a very simple adult summer reading program in
which adults put their name and telephone number in a box each time they
checked out books during the summer. I had gathered small prizes from
local merchants and we had a weekly drawing. Then all names were put in
a separate box for the end of summer drawing for dinner for two at a
nice restaurant in town. Since it was the first time we had done an
adult program, I didn't want to get too strict and as we were short
staffed (isn't everyone?) I didn't want to make it too complicated for
the staff to keep up with. We just told entrants that we trusted them
to read at least some of the books they checked out.

Subject: [Publib] Adult Summer Reading Program

I need some fellow publibber advice.has anyone had a summer reading
program for adults? We are planning our first, and would appreciate any
advice (guidelines, ideas, suggestions, etc.) to help shape this a
little bit. How many titles did you require (or time spent reading per
day), did you include all formats, any suggestions for reading logs?
Thanks in advance for your help!
