Here is a haiku my IT person came up with when we were talking about our
overdue notices. We didn't use it on the notices but have it posted on
bulletin boards to make us smile. I thought it was rather clever!
Your books overdue
Tardiness saddens others
Please bring our stuff back

Haiku contest! Example:

This gem from Lara's Library Haiku page:
Know it's hard to tell,
But
"returned" and "left in road"
Don't mean the same thing.

Have
any of you done an adult program related to poetry? I've had a couple of
patrons
inquire about having an "Open Mic" night where they could read original
poetry
or read a poem. I'd welcome some tips on how to make this a successful
program.Alli
