Hi Melinda,
You didn't say what state you are in, but in Missouri the dept. of 
conservation has a monthly magazine that is free for residents of the 
state.  It has great photography and articles dealing with conservation, 
wildlife, hunting, fishing, and there is always a special section for 
children.  Some of the state parks have free newsletters dealing with the 
special features of their parks, what wildlife is there at different 
seasons, etc.  You might try such agencies in your state, or national
