[Publib] Facebook or MySpace

My library hasn't jumped on board yet, but at a recent Young Adult Round
Table workshop I heard that Facebook is more popular with the college-aged
and up crowd, and MySpace is more popular among teenagers.

One issue with MySpace is the ads that might display at the top of your page
(which you wouldn't be able to control--although some librarians try by
listing themselves as 80-yr-old women in their profiles). A good number of
the teens in my area (a small, conservative town) have parents who don't let
them use MySpace because of safety concerns, so it might be smart to find
out if your teens are actually on there or which platform (if any) they're
already using for their social networking.

Good luck!
