[Publib] compensation for librarian-run book groups/programs?

I run the library's book group, as well as a number of other programs.  My
schedule is adjusted to cover the program.  In addition, the time spent on
setting up the program, doing publicity, etc. are all done during "library"
time.  The only time not covered is for actually reading any books involved.
(Oh, for the library that everyone longs to work at so they can spend time
reading.)
