Hi Lisa! My current and former POW both use Kwik Cases.  Former place of
work--everything went into a Kwik case that staff had to open when a patron
was ready to check out.  Current POW has case openers by each of self checks
(one in children's, one by circulation desk)--so people are at least in view
of staff when they are unlocking their own cases.  I don't think we have a
particularly high loss rate.

We don't case non fiction.

Most patrons have figured out how to use them quickly.  It is an added step
and you do lose shelf space though--a serious consideration for high
turnover.
