Though the ALA Washington Office does not seem to have more detailed information on how this will affect libraries we can go to their site at http://www.capwiz.com/ala/issues/bills/?billnum=H.R.3791&congress=110&size=full and see more about the bill and use the site to send a message to Representatives and Senators.

What can folks in library land tell us about this recent event?

"The U.S. House of Representatives on Wednesday overwhelmingly approved a bill saying that anyone offering an open Wi-Fi connection to the public must report illegal images including "obscene" cartoons and drawings--or face fines of up to $300,000."
