We continue to give basic computer classes (been doing it about 6 years). Just when we think we've taught the basics to everyone who needs it and make plans to add more advanced classes to our schedule, we get bombarded with requests for the beginner's classes. We teach Mousing, Internet Basics (2 classes), Email, Word (2 classes) in all series, and add in extras several times a year -- iBistro, NCLive, File Managment. Have also added this month four 3-hour sessions of "Computer Help - You Pick the Topic", attendees register for up to an hour of one-on-one instruction on most topics. Must pre-register for all classes including the Help Sessions (that way we can pick out what their topic might be and determine if it's a topic we can handle). For all classes we provide handouts and exercise sheets. We have two trainers who are library staffers and are NC Master Trainers.
