[Publib] Joint-Use Libraries

We are being approached by the local community college to consider a joint-use library.  I have been doing some research, but I would like to hear from those of you who are actually in joint-use libraries between public libraries and community colleges regarding how it has worked out and what the major pros and cons are.  There are so many models out there for the creation and administration of joint-use libraries that there doesn't seem to be one "best practice" to follow.

I think it could be a great benefit to both patron groups, but the details seem overwhelming.  I will tell you that at this early stage I am supportive of it and I'd like to hear some strategies for success in convincing others that it can work.
