Drop the (paper) newsletter and stick with electronic.
1) We have 12 people signed up for snail mail notice of library programs and 600
for e-mail notice.
2) If you drop the newsletter (after one warning, in next issue) people who *really*
want/read it will let you know. You'll pare your list and mailing costs down
considerably. You could simply .pdf this, publish in your web ..and only mail hard
copy to ..? fewer than 50 people, perhaps?
3) Rather than use E-vance for $2,500 that we can't afford, I've just rolled out
Google calendar, in our web, for those who really want it in that format.

Each of your 12 libraries could do their own ...or, among all that number, perhaps
you can run E-vance?
4) Set up an events blog and teach people how to subscribe to the blog feed.
Yes, sounds like your current overlaps might be crazy making?!
