[Publib] Problems with DiscMate DVD security cases?

Our library has recently begun using Checkpoint's DiscMate cases and in the last week we've had 5 customers report that their case somehow got locked after they checked it out, preventing them from opening it to use the DVD. Is anyone who is using these cases having similar experiences? We have tried to duplicate it in-house with no success.
