Job Announcement: Librarian II – Youth Services Manager

The Wichita Falls Public Library in Wichita Falls, TX is seeking an 
enthusiastic, energetic, and creative Youth Services Manager (Librarian 
II) to plan, organize, and promote public library services for children. 
Duties include programming, reference, collection development, and 
reader’s advisory. Supervises a YA Librarian I and a Library Assistant. 
Some evenings and weekends. 

Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Library Science (ALA preferred) 
required.  Minimum two years professional experience, supervisory 
experience preferred.  Must possess excellent public relations skills and 
the ability to perform multiple tasks with minimal supervision.  Strong 
computer and Internet skills also required. Applicant should have a broad 
knowledge of children’s and YA literature and programming. Storytelling 
and puppet skills required. 

Salary: $30,210-$45,972/yr. depending on experience.
