The Fort Vancouver Regional Library District seeks a service-minded,
organized Collection Development Librarian.  This is an opportunity for an
energetic and enthusiastic librarian to assist the District Collection
Development Coordinator in the implementation of collection development
services system wide. Assist in the selection and weeding of materials in
assigned subject areas, initial assignment will be juvenile materials.  

The district is headquartered in Vancouver in southwest Washington State and
within short driving distance to magnificent ocean beaches, majestic
mountains, the Columbia River Gorge and metropolitan Portland, Oregon and
serves Clark, Skamania, Klickitat counties and parts of the City of
Woodland.  Requires a Master's Degree in Library Science from an ALA
accredited university, the ability to obtain a Washington State Librarian
Certificate, 3 or more years of increasingly responsible professional
library work; selection and supervisory experience, and knowledge of
juvenile fiction and nonfiction highly desired. Salary range:  $3571-$5323
per month, excellent employer provided benefits including medical, dental
