At my library we are barely allowed to dress up for Halloween, so kudos to
you for doing this! My daughter is in high school marching band and they
dress up a lot for team building, and other school events over the years
have included some interesting ones. Some of my (and her) favorites that I
think would work in a library:
Dress like your favorite character in a book - this one included a parade of
characters!
Mismatch day (different socks, plaids with stripes, etc)
Twin day - they pair themselves up and plan to dress alike - this year my
daughter and her "twin"- a boy about a foot taller than she is - made
t-shirts that said, "can you tell us apart?"
Tie dye day (actually made the shirts one week, wore them the next)
Jackson Pollock day (same thing, made the shirts by laying them out in the
back of the parking lot over brown paper and flinging paint, wore them the
next week)
Have fun!

> Does anyone do special dress up/dress out days at work for fun? This is in
addition to costumes on Halloween and the Christmas tree sweatshirts in
winter. We are wanting to do some to create a little buzz and some
camaraderie among the staff. Here are the ideas we have so far:
>
> Decade Day (60's, 70's, 80's)
> Crazy Hat Day
> Hawaiian Day
> Camouflage Day
> Crazy Hair Day (more than just the usual bed head, we're talking spikes
and colors)
> Sunglasses Day
> Men's Tie Day (for guys and gals)
> Pajama Day
>
> Do you have any other ones that you have done or ideas for me and my
staff?
