[Publib] Circulation Staff Appearance ??

It all depends on their duties. When I was a circulation clerk at one
library, we assisted in shelving books in addition to working the desk.
Because we were required to crawl around on carpet that was rarely
cleaned, we were allowed to wear jeans. However, if the clerks are only
required to work the desk, I would have them wear business casual.

I am curious as to what other libraries consider to be appropriate
attire 
for their Circulation Desk Staff.  Although I have been in other
libraries, 
I have never really taken note of their appearance.

I would think that business casual (except on designated casual days) is

appropriate.
