Job Opening - Adult Services Librarian

The Ripon Public Library in Ripon, Wisconsin (population: 7,620) is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Adult Services Librarian.  Responsibilities include collection development and maintenance, young adult and adult programming, and promotion of library services to the community.  Varied schedule consists of occasional nights and weekends, including Sundays.  ALA-accredited Master's degree in Library Science required.  Proficiency with computers and strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary.  Starting salary $33,197 plus excellent benefits. The recently remodeled library of 28,000 square feet is a member of the Winnefox Library System and a participant in the Winnefox Automated Library Service shared SIRSI automation system.  An annual budget of $476,000 is supplemented by donations from an active Friends of the Library organization and an endowment fund.  Circulation in 2006 was 144,000, collection size 68,000 items, open 61.5 hours per week, staff of 7.5 FTE.
