Hi
We moved to a digital microfilm reader. We like a lot about it. We can
have copies sent to a network printer or they can save to a thumbdrive. One
major plus is the ability to preview what the copy looks like before you
actually print. We used to get complaints when the image was too light or
dark and they'd already printed it.
We have a Canon with a film and fiche carrier. We've been happy with
this model. I only wish the film carrier had handles on both sides for
sliding it in and out. They may have changed this. Our only work on the
machine in the last 4 years has been replacing a screw in the film carrier
handle.
Doing the digital reader printer does take more room. You have the
machine for film and the computer/monitor itself. This may have changed
since we got ours.
Going to the network printer has saved us a lot of aggrevation and you
are buying one kind of toner for all your public computers.
Hope this helps.
