Thanks to all who replied to my post on public printing policy from June. 
The consensus was that our policy (20 free pages and a 10 cents per page 
afte that)was much too generoous and the best solution is print management 
software. Most favored a policy of no free copies. My personal preference is 
if possible, to set the software so that a patron can have 5 free copies and 
than pay over that. I like the idea of a printer being monitored to accept 
payment for copies.  It seems that would create a lot more work, but on the 
other hand a more conservative policy should also reduce the amount of print 
jobs to be paid for.
