There are some great cozy series out there that I'm sure fans will recommend but to start things off, one of my favorite "hardboiled" writers, Max Allan Collins and his write Barbara, writing as Barbara Allan, recently began a cozy takeoff series. The first volume is titled Antiques Roadkill and it is laugh-out-loud funny, imho. It takes place in and around a Mississippi River town/small city in Iowa. When I read it I kept picturing Davenport.

    Hi
We've done a couple of successful summers of women mystery writers as a book group topic. We are thinking of doing cozies next summer. Does anyone have recommendations of cozies that would also be good discussion books?

If anyone is looking for a good mystery discussion to do we are doing the Femme Fatale reprints by Feminist Press this summer. Since you have the mystery and the role of women as authors and characters, we've found them to be very popular.

  Thanks
